Shay Mitchell and her partner Matte Babel have had their second child together, a baby girl.
Atlas Noa, the couple’s 2-year-old daughter, is the couple’s first child. And they’re ecstatic to add to their lovely little family.
It’s a lovely little bundle of joy!
Shay Mitchell said that her and partner Matte Babel’s second child, a baby girl, was born “recently.”
“I just delivered my second child, and this is the first time I’ve gone outside of the house since having her,” she told E! during a BÉIS pop-up event in Los Angeles on Saturday.
“It’s extremely special to come and visit my other baby,” she continued, referring to BÉIS, a travel company she co-founded in 2018.
Mitchell, 35, announced her pregnancy in February after the death of her grandmother.
“The great cycle of life is saying goodbye to a loved one while concurrently enjoying the joy of welcoming another into this world,” she captioned her baby belly reveal.

Shay Mitchell referred to the experience as “the most difficult” of her life.
“I can’t help but think this was the universe’s plan all along,” the Canadian native stated at the time, “knowing I’d need other worldly joy to soften the blow of losing one of the most significant people in my life.”
“However, here is proof that love, life, and grief can all exist profoundly at the same time.” Every day, Gram, I miss you. We can’t wait to meet you, little one. Knowing you two are already connected in such a cosmic sense makes me feel at ease.”
The author of “Bliss” became a mother in October 2019 when she and her husband Babel, 41, welcomed their 2-year-old daughter Atlas.
Mitchell had a miscarriage at 14 weeks before conceiving their baby girl.
In a YouTube video from July 2019, she described the pregnancy loss as “totally blindsided.” “I’m still grieving for the one I lost.”

“I used to make fun of mothers who cried on their children’s birthdays. “What made you so moved?” Mitchell wrote the captions for the slideshow on social media.
“Of course, watching your child grow up brings up a lot of emotions,” she continued, “but I’m sitting here on the night of your birthday, wildly near to the time you entered this world, and everything before you is foggy (primarily because I’m sobbing, I get it now).” “It’s still hard for me to believe you’re mine.”
Mitchell relished “the last moments of it being just us” as she relaxed and “nested” with Atlas and Babel while waiting for baby No. 2.
In 2017, she began dating the music writer.

Last year, Mitchell told E! News that she doesn’t think marriage is in their future.
“I believe we are on the same page. In August 2021, the actress commented, “Perhaps it’s just me.”
“I love that every day when we get home, I’m like, ‘I pick you, and you choose me.’”
“It keeps us on our toes,” she explained, adding that the decision makes their relationship “hot.” ‘Hey, I can walk out,’ I say. I don’t need to hire a lawyer; I can simply walk away.’ And he’s the same.”
