He also added that as soon as he woke up after surgery he was so excited to go back to work(Let’s go to work! ) and rest people told him to calm down. The executive producer of the show, Peter Gould recalls the incident saying it was ‘Terrifying’.
“We were very worried, very scared, very upset,” he told the media. “It puts everything in perspective because, in the end, it’s a TV show. Once it becomes a matter of life and death, it puts everything in perspective.”

While updating his concerned fans on his condition Friday, Odenkirk looked at the incredible flood of support he had encountered to the Christmas classic “It’s a Wonderful Life,” featuring a screen with icon Jimmy Stewart as a distressed banker who almost dies— just to get back to an avalanche of embraces, kisses, and presents from loved ones.
“It’s overwhelming. But I feel the love and it means so much … I’m going to be ok thanks to Rosa Estrada and the doctors who knew how to fix the blockage without surgery. … I’m going to take a beat to recover but I’ll be back soon.”
Ben also tweeted this Friday,
I am doing great. I’ve had my very own “It’s a wonderful life” week of people insisting I make the world slightly better. Wow! Thank you, I love everyone right now but let’s keep expectations reasonable!

Ben Odenkriks explains further,
During the shooting of the final season of the show ‘Better Call Saul, it was very difficult for him to move on.
“I was emotional, yeah, we cried. The show has been such a snowball of ongoing effort and big effort, and I’ve done this character for 12 years, so in a weird way, as big as that last scene was, I won’t really start to say a big goodbye to this show until I watch the final episode.”
He continued saying,
“I think I need to see that story come to a place and then I’ll feel what you guys feel, what the fans feel. This is a story, it had this long to run and it’s over, but so far, I still don’t feel that way.”
Odenkirk admitted that it was difficult recording the last scene of “Better Call Saul,” however the certainty hasn’t exactly soaked in yet.
