Dave Coulier realize the song ‘You Oughta Know’ by his ex Alanis Morissette was about him!!

Dave Coulier must have recalled some moments when he heard the song “You Oughta Know” by his ex-Alanis Morissette!!

“You Oughta Know”, the song by Alanis is very popular among broken hearts. It is a breakup song, which doesn’t claim anything related to her ex-Dave Coulier.

The star who is long lost in the media claimed that the song is written for him. He claimed that he is the inspiration for Alanis’s mind-blowing track. The song debuted in 1995, and Dave revealed that when he was driving off to Detroit then he heard that song on the radio. And sooner he realized when he recalled some moments, that it was written about him,

“I’m like, wow, this is a really cool hook. And then I start hearing the voice. I’m like, wow, this girl can sing. And I had no idea, you know, that this was the record,” he recalled. “And then I was listening to the lyrics going, “Ooh, oh no! Oh, I can’t be this guy.”

He said that he had no idea that Alanis can sing. He tried to prove this theory that only broken hearts can bring out the talent in a person. Just like that, he claimed that the reason behind the song might be him. Later being fully dramatic he says, “Oh no, I can’t be this guy”.

He later then made a quick trip to the recording studio where you get all the CDs of the songs. Then he bought a Jagged Little Pill CD. Then he listened to the song, he felt like there were so much familiar kinds of stuff about their conversations.

“There was a lot of familiar stuff in there that she and I had talked about. Like, ‘Your shake is like a fish.’ I’d go, ‘Hey, dead fish me,’ and we’d do this dead fish handshake,” he said. “And so I started listening to it and I thought, ‘Ooh, I think I may have really hurt this woman.’ That was my first thought.”

The lyrics included sentences like “Your shake is like a fish” and soon he recalled a lot of stuff from the conversation. he concluded by saying that maybe he might have hurt this woman a lot. Ex is an ex for a reason and the statements made by Coulier seem to be overconfident.

The pair started dating from 1992-1994. Alanis was just 18 years that time and Dave were 33 years old. Their relationship continued for just 2 years. After a year, the singer later released an album that won the Grammy awards.

Alanis had nothing to say about Dave’s perspective that he is behind her songs. She said,

“No revealing,” Alanis said in a 2019 interview. “But I am intrigued at the thought / or at the fact — that more than one person has taken credit for it. I’m thinking, I don’t know if you want to take credit for being the person I wrote ‘You Oughta Know’ about.”

She continued, “I just think: If you’re going to take credit for a song where I’m singing about someone being a douche or a–hole, you might not want to say, ‘Hey! That’s me!’”

Alanis created suspense by saying that she is not letting anyone know about her feelings. If anyone related to the curse in the song then there are few persons who would claim that it is me!!

Alanis gave a savage response in the media. Whether it is for Dave or not, her songs are hit nationwide, which she is proud about!!
