“Running up that Hill” Kate Bush’s 37 years old song crosses over 100 Millions streams recently, $2.3 Million revenue generated!!

Kate Bush published her old song “Running up that Hill” in the famous series “Stranger Things” which generated $2.3 Million in revenue!!

The song “Running Up the Hill” by Kate Bush is continuing to flourish. The official video of the song featured in “Stranger Things” crossed over 100 Million views on Youtube. Initially, the video did not have many views but when it was advertised in the latest season then it almost increased as double.

Season 4 of “Stranger Things” was super chilly. Vecna was the main villain causing the suffering in the series. He is the most dangerous and strongest villain ever. The scenes of the kill are very brutal to watch as an audience. However, Vecna is someone who brutally kills people by attacking their minds which is out of the control of people (Vecna is also known as Mind Flayer).

Vecna Killed several people who were in some kind of distress in their life/ someone with regrets. Max was in massive guilt after her step-brother died in the previous season. She was depressed and she hold off ties with her friends and her lover Lucas.

Everyone understood that the next target of Vecna would be Max. So these people reveal that the escape points out of that mind Flayer Vecna is to play the favorite song. The same thing happened in the scene when the Mind Flayer was attacking Max. That’s when Max’s friends made her listen to her favorite song  “Running up the hill”.

However, the song by Kate Bush just came right in. Max got out of the depressing scene after hearing her favorite song. The song was released 37 years before and even then it was one of the top hit songs in the USA.

After when platforms like youtube were introduced, the video got officially uploaded in 2011. The views on the video reached about little less than 50 Million. But as soon as it premiered on the show it hit up 100 Million views.

Bush is very happy to see her song reach levels in the young generation. She expressed absolute excitement, and gratitude in an interview given to BBC radio. She feels amused to see the song is loved by the young generation.

Kate is an English singer and songwriter who was the original singer of the song, she was seen saying,

“‘Stranger Things’ is such a great series, I thought that the track would get some attention. But I just never imagined that it would be anything like this,” Bush said. “It’s so exciting. But it’s quite shocking really, isn’t it? I mean, the whole world’s gone mad.”

She mentioned that the series is very awesome and great. Bush expected that her song might get some attention as the series is very famous, but she didn’t expect it to reach this height. She is very excited about the upcoming days and a bit shocked at the part where young generations are going crazy about that song.

Bush published an album in 1985, and “Running Up that Hill” was her first single from that album. The video was directed by David Garfath and Bush is performing herself in the song.

As the song suggest “Running Up the hill”, 100 Million is not the benchmark of the song. The song has still a long way to go like climbing up high hills and reaching out to many people worldwide!!
