The “Stranger Things” star, David Harbour is risking his health for the appearance in series- says He lost more than 75 pounds!

David Harbour loses about 75 pounds for the hit Netflix series, “Stranger Things”. He talked about the struggles and hard work of losing weight from season 3 of Stranger Things to season 4.

David Harbour is an American actor and has played roles in top movies and series. Likewise, in the Netflix trending series, “Stranger Things”, Harbour plays the role of the fictional Hawkins, Ind., police officer. In season three of the series, Hopper was about 265 pounds. However, he loses more than 75 pounds for season 4 of that series.

On Thursday, David posted three pictures on Instagram and in the first picture we can see him in season3 and now in season 4. There is a huge difference in his body. Similarly, he captioned the pictures with,

“Many of you have asked about Hopper’s physical transformation from season 3 to season 4. My trainer @davidhigginslondon worked with me for 8months to make the transformation, and then another year to keep it through the pandemic. All told it was a difficult and exciting ride, changing diet and exercise plans (or lack thereof).”

Additionally, he announced that he will go live on Friday and talk about his weight loss. Further, he added,
“Second pic is David and me the week we began, my resistances and fury flaring. And pic three is the shoot day, the black x’s are for CGI scarring because of problems with the practical effect. All told I lost over 75lbs. 265-270 in season 3 and all the way down to 190 when we shot.”

On the other hand, Harbour also explained his journey and the difficulties he face during the weight loss process. Though losing weight is not as easy as we think. Only the one who is dealing with it knows the whole thing.
Despite the difficulties and health risks, Davis stated that his weight loss and gain journey has become “a fun part of the job”. The reason is that it allows Harbour “to live in a different version of your skin for a while.”

Likewise, Jim Hopper also said about his journey to British GQ,

“That was a hard process. It’s not easy, it’s a lot of not eating when you lose that much weight, and being hungry… That’s the secret, if you’re curious about the diet secret, it’s just not eating food.”

Since we all think that he might now follow his new lifestyle and will not gain weight from now onwards. But we are wrong as David Harbour is again regaining the weight for the role of Santa Claus in an upcoming Universal film, Violent Night.

Also, Harbour stated that he will now give up soon as the health risks are very high doing this. Sometimes you are gaining weight and sometimes you are losing weight is not healthy and may cause serious health risks.

Moreover, David said,

“Recently ballooned up again to play jolly ole st. Nick in a flick I can’t wait for you to see this holiday season, so I am struggling to fight back down towards a good weight for wherever hopper ends up in season 5. All this up and down is not good for the body, and I’ll have to give it up soon, but it is such a fun part of the job to live in a different version of your skin for a while.”

Furthermore, Jim Hopper also announced that he hadn’t thought about this before. And, David said,

“I don’t think I’ll ever do that again. I have this Santa Claus movie [Violent Night] coming out for Universal in December and I gained [it all back]. But now, yeah, never again. The prosthetics are too good.”

He is again gaining weight for his upcoming movie risking his health again. Though the fans are really excited for the show and his body as well.
