Likewise, Momota bore a defeat in the semi-final round against Malaysian Zulfadli Zulkiffli and still won a bronze medal.

After onwards, at the end of 2011, in the same tournament in Japan, Kento Momota lost the finals game.

Similarly, he was defeated by the champion of the All Japan Badminton Championship, Kenichi Tago. But, his talent was appreciated by the Nippon Badminton Association (NBA).

Moreover, afterward, Kento joined the Japanese national team and started playing for the national team in various championships.

At 4:40 a.m. Momota along with three other badminton players and drivers, chartered a van on the way to the administrative capital of Putrajaya, when they were hit by a 30-tonne truck.

However, on the spot at around 4.45 am, the following accident killed a 24-year-old van driver. But according to the local fire service, the van collided with a 30-tonne truck that was traveling slowly.

All four injured patients were recovering well and were in stable condition according to the doctor.

According to authorities in the region, Momota sustained injuries to his face and a broken nose when the van bringing him to the airport collapsed.
