Angela Yee announced to leave the show “The breakfast club” for her own show called “Way Up with Angela Yee”!!
YES, you heard that right!! Angela Yee is leaving the show “The Breakfast Club”. After a day of leaving the show, Angela announced via tweeting saying, “the breakfast club as you know it is officially over,”

She went on air with her co-hosts Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy and told that she is very excited about the thing she wanted to do for years.
“This is really exciting but this is something I’ve been wanting to do for years now, since way before the pandemic,”
She also mentioned that she told her boss that she really wanted her own show, “I had actually sat down with our big boss and I was telling her, ‘Look, I really want my own show,’”
Yee was doing the “The breakfast club” show for almost 12 years now!! But she revealed that since 2008, she wanted to host her own show “The Morning After with Angela Yee” and go solo. She was planning to air the show on Sirius Satellite Radio according to the reports.
“Years later, they approached me, they had a sit down with me and they told me they wanted to give me my own show,” she shared. “But I am going to be leaving ‘The Breakfast Club and it’ll be a different iteration.”
She also added that after so many years, the radio agency wanted her to host her own show. Now she is going to start and it is going to be different. Yee got this wonderful opportunity to host her show daily. She was just expecting to get her show for one day along with “The breakfast club”.

She tells that she received a huge opportunity and she feels grateful. She also mentioned that she feels blessed for being able to receive something like this for her position. He also made a racial comment saying, a black woman getting this opportunity is quite rare and she is not going to not take this lightly.
“It is really exciting, I honestly can’t believe it. I know it took a long time to make this happen so I want to thank everyone who made this happen,”This is just a tremendous opportunity. I feel extremely grateful, extremely blessed to be able to get something that is really monumental up here,” she said.
“As far as having a nationally syndicated show… for somebody in my position, a woman, a black woman … it’s a rarity, and it’s a great opportunity, and it’s not something I take lightly.”
Many of her fans were worried that “The breakfast club” was going to shut down forever. But then Yee clarified that the show is going to continue even after she leaves. Most of them even was sad that she was leaving the show after 12 years but they were also happy that she is doing her own show. Probably her fans have mixed feelings!!
Moreover, Yee also said that she won’t be leaving the show until “The breakfast club” shows hires a new host. Until then she would also be helping with everything. Yee is also not able to figure out the exact dates for debuting her show but it is expected to be sometime this fall.
