Moore started his collegiate career at Purdue University, where he shared a dorm with Robbie Hummel, JaJuan Johnson, and Scott Martin, and they all worked together to share a restroom. The head coach, Matt Painter, instructed each of them.
Moore played the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Illinois Fighting Illini on January 30 and February 2, respectively, in 2008.
