CB Dollaway

The Doberman, also known as CB Dollaway, competes in the Light Heavyweight division for the Rizin Fighting Federation.

Dollaway also advanced to the final round of The Ultimate Fighter 7 on Spike TV. He was an amateur wrestler in high school before he started mixed martial arts.

C.B. graduated from Arizona with a bachelor’s in interdisciplinary studies, with a focus on sociology and justice studies.

Likewise, Dollaway continued to compete even after joining Arizona, earning All-American status in 2006. Additionally, he won the fifth spot in the 184-pound division.

Clarence eventually left Arizona and began attending Power MMA and Fitness because he was determined to achieve more and with similar vigor. Ryan Bader, the light heavyweight champion of The Ultimate Fighter 8 (LH), trained with him.

Professional Life and Career

Dollaway appeared in the seventh season of the reality television program The Ultimate Fighter after his stint in wrestling.

After completely knocking out David Baggett, he gained notoriety. Likewise, Dollaway faced Nick Klein in his subsequent bout, which he won by guillotine choke in the second round.

He faced up against American fighter Cale Yarbrough in the quarterfinals. The Doberman prevailed via first-round TKO.

Unfortunately, Dollaway’s winning streak came to an end when his next opponent, Amir Sadollah, submitted Dollaway in the third round using an armbar.

Undisputed Fighting Championship (UFC Record)

He had the chance to succeed in the UFC after his defeat in “The Ultimate Fighter” final.

He participated in Silva: Irin at UFC Fight Night. CB played exceptionally well in the opening round, defeating Jesse Taylor with a Peruvian necktie.

Massenzio was defeated by Dollaway by first-round TKO at UFC 92 in 2008.

He was supposed to face Dan Miller on September 16 at UFC Fight Night 19. Miller, though, was infected, and Jay Silva, a newcomer, took his position.

In the end, Silva was decisively defeated by Dollaway.

Additionally, The Doberman later competed against opponents like Goran Reljic, Joe Doerksen, Mark Munoz, and many others.

Damnable Setbacks for Dollaway

2011 was not kind to our young fighter despite a strong start in the UFC.

At UFC Live: Sanchez vs. Kampmann, he first fought Japanese combatant Mark Munoz. For the first time in his career, CB was defeated by a K.O. after just 54 seconds. Indeed, he must have felt bad about this.

Adding another loss to his record, American MMA fighter Jared Hamman knocked out Dollaway in the second round via TKO.

Accidents in an Elevator from 2013 onwards

Undoubtedly, CB’s prior years had not been good, but he was not allowing it to affect him. He defeated Daniel Sarafian, a Brazilian boxer, on January 19, 2013.

Additionally, he received a “Fight of the Night bonus” for the first time in his career thanks to the victory.

On March 23, 2014, Dollaway won by first-round TKO over Cezar Ferreira. He defeated Francis Carmont on May 31, 2014, by unanimous decision.

Sadly, he was unable to create any games in 2016. Because of a broken elevator, he had a permanent back injury.

Many people advised him to have surgery, but the doctors weren’t sure how it would turn out.

As anticipated, Doberman had to take a full nineteen months off from fighting and rest. He returned in July 2017 and won the Ultimate Fighter Finale by defeating Ed Herman.

Revocation for two years

After testing positive for clomiphene, anastrozole intravenous, and prohibited drugs in 2019, USADA suspended Dollaway. C.B. was consequently suspended for two years.

The UFC

Dollaway didn’t rejoin UFC following his two-year USADA suspension. He decided on the Japanese mixed martial arts company Rizin Fighting Federation instead.

The light heavyweight division was where CB Dollaway fought. But in his first game, Jin Prochazka outplayed him and won the match.
