However, he was selected by NFL DRAFT on May 8, 2014. He was chosen by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Moreover, on June 18, 2014, he signed a four-year contract worth $20 million.

During the 2014 season, he performed admirably. Furthermore, he last played for the Jaguars in 2018.

Meanwhile, Bortles was signed by the Denver Broncos on September 24, 2020, following the injury to starter Drew Bolt.

Sooner, Bolt recovered from his bear injury, the Broncos released Bortles on October 17, 2020. Bortles was re-signed to Denver’s practice squad two days later.

Similarly, Bortles was placed on the hone squad/COVID-19 list on November 28, 2020.

Nonetheless, Bortles and the other three quarterbacks on the Broncos’ list were fined for violating COVID-19 rules. In December, he was reinstated to the home squad.

Furthermore, Bortles was marked by the Los Angeles Rams of the Broncos hone squad on December 29, 2020, following the injury to starter Jared Goff.
