On July 23, 1998, Deandre Ayton was born in Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, to parents Edward Egerue and Andrea Ayton.

He ultimately became passionate about it and started getting ready for the church league.
While still in school, he started participating in organized basketball in the Bahamas after being seen by the All Bahamian Brand, a business that sponsors basketball events.
Years later, he enrolled in a summer basketball camp where instructors immediately saw his talent.
In response to the coaches’ recommendations, Deandre’s family sent him to San Diego, where he enrolled in Balboa City School.
His mother divorced his father shortly after, and they eventually married. Alvin Ayton is his stepfather.
He eventually moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he met his new family and enrolled in Hillcrest Prep Academy.
Professional Life and Career
Deandre played for two years at the Balboa School in San Diego. In his sophomore campaign, the 6 feet 11-inch player averaged 21 points, 16 rebounds, and 3.8 blocks per game to aid Balboa to a 17-14 record.
Later, Ayton transferred, and he finished his final two years at Arizona’s Hillcrest Prep.
Marvin Bagley III of the Sacramento Kings was a teammate of his while they were both students at Prep School.
Ayton delivered his best high school performances the following year. After leading his team to the Grind Session World Championship, Ayton was also given MVP accolades for the season and the finals.

Additionally, he got 8 points and 7 rebounds while representing the World Select Team in the Nike Hoop Summit in 2016.
After his high school career, Ayton distinguished himself as the best center in his graduating class of 2017.
At the close of 2016, he made the Arizona Wildcats his team of choice to begin his college career.
College career
Even though he only participated in college basketball for one season, he achieved many individual records while mostly playing as a power forward.
He had a total of 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 shots blocked in his debut, which saw the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks lose 101-67.
As a freshman, Ayton was having a blast, but he also got caught up in a scandal involving Sean Miller, the head coach at the time.

An FBI source claims that Emmanuel Richardson, a former Arizona assistant, told a former Adidas consultant that Ayton was getting paid by Sean Miller.

Ayton, though, received multiple honors for his outstanding season-long effort.
However, regretfully, he decided to drop out of college after Arizona’s defeat in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament round of 64, skipping the next three seasons of his college career.

He suffered an ankle injury during the same season but returned to the court immediately.
Ayton’s overall performance in the 2020–21 season was excellent, even if he missed about three games due to COVID–19 rules.
