Professional Career
Rasheed replaced the injured Chris Webber as the starter for the Washington Bullets in 51 of the team’s 65 games as a rookie in 1995. He was chosen during All-Star Weekend for the rookie team.
The player was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers at the end of the season along with Mitchell Butler for Rod Strickland and Harvey Grant.
After eight seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers, Rasheed was dealt to the Atlanta Hawks on February 9, 2004, along with Wesley Person, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Theo Ratliff, and Dan Dickau.
