BTS is planning for getting enlisted in the military starting with the oldest member, Jin aka Kim Seokjin. The seven groups of boys are planning to enlist in the military and will be back in the group after two years.
BTS stands for Bangtan Sonyeodan or The Bangtan Boys. Similarly, the group was first formed in the year 2013 and the members are, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. They all have strong fan bases and people call them ARMY which stands for Adorable Representative MC of Youth.
Their fanbase is so strong and huge as well. Likewise, BTS has won two Grammy nominations, multiple American Music Awards, and MTV Video Music Awards.
Similarly, on October 17, 2022, the sources made an announcement regarding Jin enlisting in the military. BigHit Entertainment announces the following news via social media platforms. According to the sources,
“The members of BTS are currently moving forward with plans to fulfill their military service. Group member Jin will initiate the process as soon as his schedule for his solo release is concluded at the end of October. He will then follow the enlistment procedure of the Korean government. Other members of the group plan to carry out their military service based on their own individual plans.”
Furthermore, the statement continued,
“Both the company and the members of BTS are looking forward to reconvening as a group again around 2025 following their service commitment.”
After all these statements, some people are still confused about the reason for BTS joined the military. In South Korea, a man aged 30 must join military service which lasts for two years. That’s why Jin from the BTS will be 30 in December and he must do military enlistment. Well, BTS joining the military was a problem for some people as well.

Since the news is spreading if the BTS group will be broken or separated. According to the members of the band, they will not separate but will do their projects solo and have individual plans too. According to RM, he stated about this matter saying,
“The group will take break from the activities for focusing on what we want as a musical group. We will be taking break to focus on our own endeavors.”
Also, V added,
“We could focus on our solo work this time, and later when we gather again as a group, that synergy will be like no other. We’ll be better than before.”

Two Years Hiatus
As the sources also claimed that the BTS will be bound together again in the year 2025. Jin as the eldest member will join the military service at the end of the year 2022. Meanwhile, other members will be enlisted in the year 2023.
Jin has always talked about enlisting in the military service before also. On October 15, 2022, in their concert for the 2030 World Expo, he stated that he will release his solo work soon. And, Jin also added,
“I was able to work together with someone that I’d always really liked, so I’ll be releasing a new song. I’ve filmed a lot of different things recently, and there’s still a lot of [content] left to film, so I hope you’ll enjoy all of it.”

In addition, it is not fixed yet when other members will join the military. Kim Namjoon aka RM hasn’t made an announcement regarding this matter. Suga on the other hand will turn 30 years old in 2023. So, he is ready for enlisted in the military. Suga has already released two mixtapes, August D in the year 2016 and D-2 in 2020.

Likewise, other members J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook also haven’t revealed the date of enlisting in the military. They haven’t talked about this matter. Though, it is claimed that first of all Jin will be joining the military and then RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and then Jungkook respectively.
