On Friday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle unveiled their 2022 holiday card, but it was missing two very significant individuals.
Prince Harry and Megan’s daughter Lilibet, 1, and son Archie, 3, were conspicuously missing from the greeting.
The card said, “Wishing you a joyful holiday season.”
“From our family to yours, and on behalf of our teams at The Archewell Foundation, Archewell Audio, and Archwell Productions, we wish you health, peace, and a very happy new year!”
A black-and-white picture of Harry, 38, and Markle, 41, from a recent night out at the Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Award Gala earlier this month in New York City, was included with the card.
The Duchess of Sussex had her hair tied back in a white off-the-shoulder gown while the Duke of Sussex was dressed in a dark suit.
Because they previously stated that they want a “basic right to privacy.” The couple may not have included their kids in this year’s holiday portrait.
“If you’re at work and you have a photograph of your child on your desk, and your coworker says, ‘Oh, my gosh, your kid’s so cute. That’s fantastic! Can I see your phone so I can see all the pictures of your child?’ You go, ‘No. This is the picture I’m comfortable sharing with you.’” In her tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, Markle claimed.
“And then if they double down and say, ‘No, but you already showed me that one. So you have to show me everything. You know what, I’m just gonna hire someone to sit in front of your house, or hide in the bushes. And take pictures into your backyard, because you’ve lost your right to privacy… because you shared one image with me.’”

The couple shared the first pictures of their daughter with the public in their Christmas card the previous year. The family has concerns about the British media reportedly using racist slurs against their children in addition to wanting privacy.
“Why would I give the very people that are calling my children the N-word a photo of my child before I can share it with the people that love my child?” The biracial Markle told the Cut in August.
Prince William and Kate Middleton’s family of five were present for their Christmas card, which was published on Tuesday, while the children of the Sussexes stay discreet.
The Prince and Princess of Wales, along with three children, Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4.
In the picture taken by Matt Porteous, the royal family is holding hands as they wander outside their house in Norfolk, England.

While William, 40, and Middleton, also 40, donned their blue trousers with long-sleeved shirts. The royal children all wore shorts and short-sleeved shirts.
“Sharing a new picture of the family for this year’s Christmas card!” was the new photo’s description on Twitter and Instagram for the senior royals.
The Sussex and Wales families are fighting right now, despite the fact that they are spreading holiday pleasure.
Vol.2 was published on Netflix on Thursday. Harry, the youngest child of Princess Diana and King Charles III, discusses his tense relationship with the rest of the royal family in episode two of the tell-all documentary series “Harry & Meghan.”
In one episode, Harry discussed how William broke a deal they had made to prevent their offices from telling the media bad things about one another.
The father of two recalled, “William and I both saw what happened in our dad’s office and we made an agreement that we would never let that happen to our office.”

“I would far rather get destroyed in the press than play along with this game or business of trading, and to see my brother’s office doing the same thing that we promised the two of us would never, ever do, that was heartbreaking.”
When Harry announced to the family that he and the former “Suits” actress would be stepping down from their royal duties in 2020, Harry claimed that his older brother yelled at him.
Regarding the series, Buckingham Palace has refrained from speaking.
