Lauren German is a versatile American actress who came into recognition in 2002 when she was featured in a major role as Belinda in ‘A Walk to remember’. She has done innumerable notable and varied roles in films and TV.

Lauren German was born on 29 November 1978 in Huntington Beach, California, the USA. Her father is a vascular surgeon. Hence Lauren thoroughly enjoyed playing the role of a Leslie Shay in Chicago Fire since it was that of a person in the medical field and also a hooker.
She wanted to play this role since her father is a doctor and she respects people from this profession. She said:
“I just really admire the profession. These people, they get overlooked. People forget about them and all they do all day long is save lives left and right. And that excites me. That is fun for me.”
She studied at Los Alamitos High School and later at the Orange County High School of the Arts. She was a student at the University of Southern California to study anthropology.

She later bagged the role in Born Killers in 2005. She has seen in 2007 in It’s Fine! Everything is Fine! She was also cast in the true-life story-based music drama ‘What we do is Secret’. She was also seen in the thriller titled The Divide.
She was also cast as DHS agent Lori Weston in CBS Police drama Hawaii Five-0. From 2012 to 2014, she played the lesbian in Chicago Fire.
