The actor, who was born in Rhode Island, is sharing her prior ordeals. Suvari published The Great Peace: A Memoir, a memoir that details the actress’s life before fame, on July 21, 2021. Mena explains in the book that she was on a very dark path and had experienced sexual assault.
In an interview with People Magazine, Suvari disclosed that she was in sixth grade when she was sexually assaulted by a friend of her elder brother. When she was 17, she met Tyler, who raped her for three years. She even acknowledges having a drug problem. It was published on July 27, 2021.
