Karl walks the red carpet with Jasmine Yarbrough
Karl Stefanovic was spotted at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in Sydney on 15 November 2017. But he was not alone. He was accompanied on the red carpet by none other than the shoe designer Jasmine Yarbrough. The couple looked very much in love and made a doting display of it on the red carpet. They beamed as they walked and were inseparable and clinging to each other. This gesture did prove that their fairytale romance is a truth and a reality.
Karl was in a black suit with a tie. Jasmine was in a black gown which covered her totally. It had a black-laced part on the upper part and she looked stunning in it. The skirt and cuffs were feathered.
A women’s magazine had reported that Yarbrough was pregnant and that Karl’s previous wife was aware of it. They added that Jasmine had a baby bump visibly seen when she attended the Derby Day races in Melbourne. IIS FM shock jock Kyle Sandilands sent Karl a voicemail message to confirm the rumors. Karl replied via a text message:
“Another load of s**t from Woman’s Day. Pretty hard to get preggers when you’re shooting blanks.”
Kyle read out this message on air on his show. Karl was not too pleased with learning this. He took a jab at Kyle and said:
“Our personal messages end up on your bloody show. I can never trust you Kyle Sandilands.”
Kyle’s previous Relationship
Kyle was a married person before he met and started dating Jasmine. Karl had met Cassandra Thorburn at a party in Rockhampton in the year 1995. Cassandra Thorburn was a working journalist at that time. The two liked each other and started dating. They soon got married and were a happy couple. They have 3 children together; Jackson, 17, Ava, 12, and River, 10.
Something went wrong in their marriage and in September 2016, it came to the limelight that Cassandra and Karl had separated. Their 21 years of togetherness had ended. The exact reason for this separation is not known.
He met Jasmine in December 2016; three months after his wedding with Cassandra had ended. Karl had termed the divorce as sad and difficult. He had tried meditation to release the stress of his life. He also said that he has a lovely relationship with Jasmine and would go slow in their relationship. Karl is said to have provided Cassandra with $ 6 million in cash and assets plus child support and ongoing payments.
About Karl Stefanovic
Karl was born on 12 August 1974 in Darlinghurst, NSW, Australia. His father Alex was a Serbian-German while his mother Jenny was an Australian. He has three siblings; Peter, Tom, and Elisa. Peter is a 60 minutes correspondent.
Karl attended St Augustines College (Cairns), Anglican Church Grammar School and the Queensland University of Technology. He completed his graduation in journalism in 1994.
Karl also auditioned to study acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Art but could not make it to the final. He was asked to reapply the next year but he lost interest in it. He also got a job at WIN TV. He started work as a cadet reporter there.
Two years later, he joined the TVNZ as a reporter for One Network News in New Zealand. He returned to Australia to work for Ten News in 1998. In 2000, he joined Nine Network as a reporter. He won the Queensland media award and also received promotions. In 2005, he started co-hosting the Today show.
He has also worked for other TV shows such as Carols by Candlelight and 60 Minutes. His popularity rose and he also started to host This Time Next Year in 2017. Karl’s career is going well and we wish him the best for it!
