Bradley tested out for Ward’s AAU team in the seventh grade. He wasn’t very good at the time, but he was quite defensive. He was excellent on defense but was unable to score.
Bradley enrolled at the Austin campus of the University of Texas. Because he was a major T. J. Ford fan growing up in Arlington, he was lured to the Texas Longhorns basketball team.
Bradley also established himself as one of the best defenders in the nation with 11.6 points per game average for the Longhorns in 2009–2010.
