Benjamin Bratt was the American actor who had played the role of NYPD detective Rey Curtis in Law and Order on NBC. Benjamin Bratt was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for this role. Handsome Benjamin is also known for his acting in ABC’s Private Practice and 24: Live another day.

Benjamin’s mother Eldy was a nurse and activist and was from Lima, Peru who has migrated to the US at age 14.

His father Peter Bratt Sr. was a sheet metal worker and of German and English descent. His parents married in 1960 but got divorced in 1967.
