Bianca Ryan: America’s Got Talent
In 2006, Bianca got to know that the famous American Idol judge, Simon Cowell was serving as the executive producer for an upcoming competition titled America’s Got Talent. The tryouts in New York were happening the same day her family was going for an outing in the city. Ryan almost left without performing after looking at the other contestants. However, she decided to stay after her father told her the grand prize was $1 million. For her audition, she chose to perform the Dreamgirls show tune ‘And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going’. She surprised the audience and the judges with her powerful voice. She became quite popular on Youtube after the release of her audition.
Ryan chose to perform ‘Piece of My Heart’ for the semi-finals. Though the judges praised her performance, they agreed that song choice wasn’t right for her. However, she revived for her finals performance and sang ‘I Am Changing’ which was the best performance overall in the competition. On August 17, 2006, the 11-year-old Bianca Ryan won America’s Got Talent.

Ryan signed a five-album record deal with SYCOmusic as part of Columbia Records. Her self-titled debut was released on November 14, 2006, which featured cover versions of ‘The Rose’ and ‘I Believe I Can Fly’, and also her original songs including ‘I Wish That’ and ‘Pray for a Better Day’.
She released the single ‘That’s Not’ in August of 2017. She chose to spend much of her teen years out of the spotlight.
