Victoria Azarenka is a Belarusian professional tennis player who was a former No. 1. She is the only Belarusian to win a Grand Slam Singles title.
Victoria won two Australian Open singles titles in 2012 and 2013. Furthermore, she is in a bitter custody battle for her son Leo with her ex-boyfriend Billy.

Billy McKeague and Victoria had met in Kauai, Hawaii where Billy used to serve as a Golf Pro at the golf resorts in the North Shore. Since then their relationship grew. Victoria had gone there to meet surfer Laird Hamilton and his wife Gabrielle Reece. They started dating soon after.
Victoria had purchased a house in Manhattan Beach, California where she used to reside with her boyfriend and later her child. But her practice for tennis is carried out in the capital of Belarus, namely Minsk.

When her son Leo was born in December 2016, Victoria at that time had heaped praises of her boyfriend. She had told the Times:
“You don’t know how someone is going to react at a young age being a dad, but he loves Leo so much and is very affectionate. He understands what I want to do right now, and he’s also willing to sacrifice his time away from his family as well for the next five, six years for me to be done with this chapter of my life of playing,”

She had also told The Telegraph in July 2017,
“I have a nanny but she is not here at the moment, so my boyfriend has been helping out. He loves being a dad and spending time with Leo. It’s fun,”

But alas! All this happiness and sacrifice and love were not to last. By August 2017, the news had spread that Billy had separated from Victoria and the two were now locked in a bitter custody battle over their son Leo. Her non-American citizenship worked in Billy’s favor and she could not take her son out of California.

She was also forced to forgo her participation in the US Open since she did not want to leave her son in California while she was in Belarus for her practice. There has been a finger pointing at Billy’s parents as well and Victoria has already criticized them on the social media for keeping silent while their son is disrespecting a woman. She said:
“As we work to resolve some of the legal processes, the way things stand now is that the only way I can play in the US Open this year is if I leave Leo behind in California, which I’m not willing to do.”
