Brad Jenkins came into the limelight for being the father of the most talented player of the NFL, Teven Jenkins.

Despite only being in his mid-20s, NFL player Teven Jenkins has a wealth of life experience. He lost his mother when he was a little child, but Brad, his father, raised him like a champion and never allowed him to feel her absence. Now, the rising Kansas offensive tackle is doing well for himself.

Brad Jenkins, Teven Jenkin’s father, is still a mystery in terms of specifics.

He frequently attends his son’s games, but he seldom ever discusses anything besides his sons and wife.

Brad had two sons throughout the 1990s while he was married to Bridget Cushinberry-Razo. Everything seemed beautiful and they were living happily together in Topeka, Kansas before she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001.

The Jenkins family faced difficulties in the years that followed since the children were still young and Brad had to balance his profession, household responsibilities, and the needs of the children.

They were fortunate to have understanding family members close by who provided Brad with a lot of support while his wife had chemotherapy for days at a time.

His wife Bridget battled the illness for more than five years before dying in 2006. Teven was only eight years old when Bridget passed away.

Raising Children as a Single Father

Due to Bridget’s passing, Brad was put in an unpleasant situation. Family members from his wife’s side, though, stood behind him and pledged to help.

Brad decided to keep his two sons by himself and raise them alone. He frequently played games with the boys while he wasn’t at work because the kids enjoyed them as well.

Brad used to forego his holidays to watch his sons play sports. He didn’t want them to be unhappy when they thought about their mother, so he kept them busy with artistic and athletic activities.

As a result, Jaylen and Teven were passionate about athletics and were successful in their respective games of football and baseball.

Despite having a dismal career, Jaylen participated in football as a lineman for Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas.

The fact that both of his sons have grown up and achieved success in their occupations makes Brad content to be a single father.

His younger son became an NFL player, while his older son, Jaylen, works as a saw operator at Rick’s Concrete Sawing Inc. in Kansas.

About Teven Jenkins

On March 3, 1998, Brad and Bridget Jenkins gave birth to Teven Bradley Jenkins, also known as Teven Jenkins.

Along with his older brother, Jaylen, he was reared in Topeka, Kansas, where he also attended Topeka High School.

After graduating, he enrolled in Oklahoma State University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s in sociology in 2020.

By the end of his college senior year, Teven had established a solid reputation as one of Oklahoma’s top offensive players. He was selected to the First-Team All-Big-12 in 2020 in recognition of his accomplishments during his senior season.

His delayed league debut was regrettably brought on by a back issue. He made his NFL debut on December 5 against the Arizona Cardinals.
