Brooke Baldwin is a CNN reporter and anchor since 2008 and has been active in the broadcast industry for the last 16 years or so. She has an empowering 2018 start when she has launched her new eight-part digital series on CNN called ‘American Women’.
This show would interview 8 famous female personalities who have achieved success in their field. Brooke Baldwin got this idea of the show when she was covering the Presidential Election 2016 more than a year ago. She said:
“I had this idea a little over a year ago. I’d covered the 2016 presidential election — crisscrossed the country attending debates, rallies, interviewing guests on my show — and I listened. And what I heard was female voices in record numbers. Sure, so many of them were hoping for history to be made: a first female president. But when that didn’t happen… I wondered: ‘Where will all these women’s voices go?’ Then I went to Washington and stood just off stage at the Women’s March. I saw thousands of women who’d traveled long distances—women we all recognize and those who are our neighbors — who’d come to DC to speak out and speak up. I made a decision to dedicate this next chapter of my career to women like these. That’s how American Woman was born.”

After her graduation, Brooke Baldwin started her career in 2001 with WVIR-TV in Charlottesville, Virginia. She took up the job of morning anchor at WOWK-TV in Huntington and Charleston, West Virginia. She later went on to join WTTG in Washington DC as the lead reporter for the 10 pm news.
In 2008, Brooke Baldwin was imbibed by CNN. She is based in NY City and now anchors CNN Newsroom with Brooke Baldwin from 2-4 pm ET. This is aired on weekdays. She also holds special shows and covers special events. In 2011, she co-anchored the special coverage of the launch of the spaceship Space Shuttle Atlantis in Kennedy Space Center.
