Victoria Yeates is a well known English actress. She is best known for her portrayal as  Sister Winifred in the period drama series Call the Midwife. She will appear in the fantasy movie  Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Scroll to know more about the radiant actress!

Victoria Yeates was born on April 19, 1983, in Bournemouth, Dorset, England where she was also raised. She was named Victoria Natalie Yeates by her parents. But we do not know her parent’s name nor their occupation. We also have no information about her siblings if she had any.

As a child, she loved to dance and wanted to become a ballet dancer. So practiced the famous traditional dance when she was a very young child.

Victoria Yeates’s Career in Acting

After her graduation, she began to act on stage for which she earned critical praises. She played in  Noël Coward’s Private Lives, in the Rookery Nook and in Michael McClure’s The Beard. Soon she was in the movies.

“People didn’t know where to put me. I did a workshop at the Royal Court, and they said, ‘It takes ten years to make an acting career’. So you flex your muscles in that way and finally, it starts to culminate into what kind of actor you are”. 

In 2014, much to her delight Victoria Yeates was cast in the BBC period drama Call the Midwife as Sister Winifred. The drama is set in the late 1950s where her character is a midwife who moves to Poplar, London to work at Nonnatus House. She went further with her acting career.

She also has starred in movies such as  Magic Hour 4 (2017), The Crucible (as Elizabeth Proctor) and Lip Service (2010). She has a role in the upcoming fantasy movie Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald in which she has portrayed a character.

Relationship, Engaged?

Although she loves to act and has been in front of the cameras for the major part of her life, she prefers to keep her personal life  and relationships in private grounds. All we know is that she is an engaged woman. And her fiancé is musician Paul Housden.

“Paul flew out to see me as a surprise and then we had a week after filming when we went on safari and he proposed. It was on a press conference at Christmas that I told a reporter I’d got engaged but I didn’t expect it to be in the papers the next day.”

The two became engaged when Paul proposed in May 2016 after 4 years of dating. The couple was on a safari in South Africa when Paul had popped the question. She was filming 2016 Christmas episode of Call the Midwife there in South Africa. Currently, she lives in London with her fiancé. They are happy, in love and without any rumors of cheating.
