5 Second of Summer band is the band of four very talented young boys namely, Calum Hood, Luke Hemmings, Ashton Irwin, and Michael Clifford. Calum Thomas Hood, Michael, and Luke were in the same college and they were very good friends since then. Luke was a YouTuber and used to sing cover songs and post on his channel.
He, Michael Clifford and Calum Hood joined his channel in 2011 and formed the band. Then later Ashton joined the group and the band members were complete. When asked about Ashton joining the band, Calum answered,
“Uuggh well… I was on eHarmony this one time… and we met.”
The band got their first hit in February 2014 with the song “She Looks so Perfect”. This song was such a hit that it outclassed on the musical countdown worldwide. Their send hit was also in the same year May 2014, song named “Don’t Stop”. This song was written by Calum himself.
