Professional Life and Career
Talking about his career, He started playing baseball for the Michigan Wolverines baseball team from 1983 to 1986. Close holds the University of Michigan career records for home runs (46) and runs scored (190), and his .869 slugging percentage in 1986 is a single-season record among Michigan baseball players.
After completing a college career, Case Close was drafted in the 1986 MLB Draft. He was picked by the New York Yankees in the seventh round of the draft. Casey had played the minor baseball league for several teams like Oneonta Yankees, Albany Colonie Yankee, Columbus Clippers and Calgary Cannons.
One of his best seasons in professional baseball remains the 1989 season when he appeared in 95 games for Calgary. He ended the season with .330 batting, .503 slugging percentage, 38 extra-base hits, and 56 RBIs.
In 1992, he became part of the baseball division being associated with IMG. In 1993, he became the representative of Derek Jeter and continued to be his agent throughout his Major League Career. In 2006, Close left IMG and joined the Creative Artists Agency.
