Chelsea Ambriz is a meteorologist with WSAZ in West Virginia. She was in news recently due to her skull-fracturing fight with news anchor Erica Bivens in a bar during their night out.
The bar fight between Erica Bivens and Chelsea Ambriz
Chelsea and Erica were involved in August 2018 in a barroom brawl which led to the fracture of the skull of one of them. Meteorologist Chelsea Ambriz and the newsreader Erica Bivens entered into a fight in the barroom when Chelsea tried to flirt with Erica’s husband. Erica was left with a bleeding eardrum and probably a fracture of the base of her skull. The two had grappled in the bar over Erica’s husband.
Charleston Gazette-Mail reports that Chelsea and Erica came to blows in a bar in Huntington, West Virginia after Erica accused Chelsea of flirting with her husband, Donald. The police report states:
“Erica advised that she had problems with Chelsea in the past as far as her being aggressive towards her.
“Erica said that her and her husband didn’t think anything of it until later in the evening Chelsea began to hit on Donald.
“Donald told Chelsea that he was not interested in her and went back over and stood with Erica.
“Donald mentioned to Erica about what had just happened and so Erica went and confronted Chelsea about it.
“Erica said that Chelsea then became irate and began to shove Erica causing both of them to fall over in the bar area.”
Erica suffered serious hearing loss and was rushed to the hospital emergency. Chelsea was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery. She had also mentioned that she got a suspension from her job for this indecent act.
Erica later wrote on her Facebook:
“Just wanted to update you all, I am at home recovering from a fractured skull and ruptured eardrum. I’m waiting on the doctors to clear me so I can get back to work. Thank you so much for the kind words and support.”
Her court date was set up on September 21, 2018. If she is found guilty, she might face a year in prison and/or a fine of no more than $500.

Besides doing weather reporting, Chelsea also enjoys traveling and playing tennis. She is also a volunteer working for the American Red Cross. She calls herself the cat lady. Her net worth is not known.
