Elise will reprise her role as Kyle from Child’s Play 2 and Cult of Chucky in the 2021 SYFY & USA Network series Chucky, directed by Don Mancini, the creator of the Child’s Play franchise. The show will debut on October 12, 2021.

Elise reprised her role as Emily Valentine from Beverly Hills, 90210 in the 2019 reboot, BH90210, as a “heightened version” of herself. She has stated in interviews that she was approached to be a part of a spin-off for her Emily Valentine character, which was the original concept for the show Melrose Place, but she declined.

She had a recurring role in the final season of China Beach very early in her career, which she frequently cites as her best professional experience. In the 1990 film Child’s Play 2, she played Kyle. Additionally, she starred as Jenn Platt in the 1993 horror film Body Snatchers. Bathing and the Single Girl, her full-length novel, was published in January 2014 by Dystel & Goderich Literary Management. McCarthy has also worked as a programmer for Michigan’s Waterfront Film Festival since its inception in 1999.
