Why Claudia Haro and Joe Pesci got Separated?
Claudia Haro was known for her beauty and outstanding acting skills in many Hollywood movies. That helped her win the hearts of millions of fans all over the world. Unfortunately, though, the former actress has a record of several broken relationships.
Claudia married the renowned ‘Home Alone’ actor Joe Pesci for the first time. The couple met at the Easter Brunch for the first time. The two were dated some years before knotting on 7 May 1988. While it was Claudia’s first marriage, it was Joe Pesci’s third marriage. Claudia and Joe shared their marriage with their daughter, Tiffany Pesci. Joe later got engaged to Angie Everhart and called off after a year.
The couple ended their marriage in 1992, however, after their relationship began to get sour. Even though they were divorced, they kept a strong friendship and ended up on a good note.
After her separation from her first partner, Claudia, she started dating a stuntman, Garrett Warren, and the two were married on March 25, 1998. Kaylie was born in the same year as her daughter. Unfortunately, their marriage lasted for a brief period before Garrett filed for divorce, and the pair parted on July 13, 1999.
Haro and Warren were engaged in a legal dispute over the custody of their daughter. Garrett, however, won the custody that caused Claudia to be so upset. After, she employed a murderer to kill Garrett Warren.
In addition, after her divorce from Garrett Warren, Claudia began dating Russell Armstrong, a real-world star from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. He was known to have a very abusive personality and also had a year-long relationship with Claudia. Russell once clapped Claudia, causing her neck to snap back after being accused of cheating on him.
“He struck me so hard in the face that my neck snapped back. I jumped out of Russell’s car and dialed 911. But I was put on hold. I was standing next to Russell’s car with my mobile phone in my hand as he walked around the car, took my cell phone out of my hand, and smashed it by pulling the top of my flip phone off. Then Russell grabbed both of my wrists so hard that it hurt.”
Haro also saw Armstrong clap his son Aiden hard across his face on many occasions when he came to visit him. But Russell committed suicide in 2011, and Claudia was drawn into the suicide dispute. Later, it was proven that Claudia had nothing to do with Russell’s suicide.
Intent of Murder
In June 2000, the court declared the shared custody of Claudia and Garrett’s daughter Kaylie. However, in May 2000, a stranger rang the doorbell at Warren’s Westlake Village, California, home about six times. The man at the door wanted to know if Garrett’s car was on the driveway.
“I said, ‘Yeah, that’s my car.’ So I opened the door and looked out at my head to see if my car was hit,” Warren said in the interview. “And when I did that, he had a gun down on his right side by his right leg, and he picked it up and started shooting at me.”
The stranger had a pistol in his lap, just as Garrett looked out. He was fired four times at his doorway with a.32 ACP, his stomach, his neck, and his left hip. As he lay bleeding on the floor, the man shot at him again, blinding his right eyes. Not only Warren, but his then 64-year-old mother also became a victim of a fatal assault, as the man fired two shots on his way, almost hitting his head before running away.
The first suspect behind the attack was Claudia’s divorce and legal battle over the custody of her daughter. And she was arrested by the police, but they had to let her go because of insufficient proof against her. Garret’s case has been on hold for about two years after that.
Sentence to Jail
After about two years, the San Bernardino police came across a car whose trunk had an envelope with a photo of Garrett Warren and a map of his house. The car was owned by the drug dealer and restaurant owner, Miguel Quiroz. After two years, the case recalled itself again. All the signs led the police to see Haro’s younger brother, Manuel Haro, and hitman Jorge Hernandez, who was involved in the murder. Manuel Haro hired a hitman for $10,000, according to Claudia’s wishes.
In December 2005, Claudia was arrested on charges of attempted murder and the primary weapon charge for attempted murder of her ex-husband Garrett Warren. The name of Actor Joe Pesci was also pulled into the dispute because Claudia was staying in Pesci’s guest house. There was no evidence against him, however.
In April 2012, Claudia was sentenced to 12 years and 4 months in jail at the California Women’s Institution in Corona, California. It was doubtful that she would serve her full sentence. She was released in August 2019.
