Sara Eisen: Bio and facts

Sara Eisen is a name in the journalism and broadcasting field which stands for global consumerism and financial powerhouse. She is not only a beauty with brains but also stands for strength. That is why in spite of being 8 months pregnant she is still continuing to air her routine programs with the same vigor and energy that she used to when she was not pregnant. This is her first pregnancy and no doubt she is extremely excited about it! Talking about her daily schedule, Sara said:

“I’m on air starting at 5 a.m., so I’ve been accustomed to waking up very early- 3:30 a.m. And that means making sure I get to bed at a decent hour, before 9 p.m., and managing my rest. It’s gotten so much harder the past few months.”

She does find it challenging to balance her work with her life and pregnancy. She has acquired respect for her fellow women who are able to cope up with the changed stage in their life (pregnancy) and their work.

Sara Eisen had met her current husband Matthew Levine way back in 2011 when she was with Bloomberg. Matthew who is the father of this child is also a US Programming Chief of Bloomberg TV. The two got married last year in May at Weylin B. Seymour’s, an event space in Brooklyn. Sara and her husband have revealed the sex of their unborn child; they had said that it is a boy! When jokingly asked about what their son would be in 2047, the mother-to-be said:

“My husband and I are accustomed to talking about current events, stories, tweets and all that over dinner, so he’ll definitely be exposed to it, but we have no grand plans to push our son into TV news. What we will try to instill is a passion for journalism and an appreciation for real news, which is as important as it’s even been… as it’s always been.”

She has been with CNBC since December 2013. Talking about her entry into journalism, Sara had once said:

After college at NYU, I went to journalism school at Northwestern’s Medill School. While most students do a semester in DC, I went a different direction and spent the time in Hong Kong. I got an internship at Bloomberg TV in Asia and have been doing business news ever since. Initially, I worked as a production assistant, but kept raising my hand for on-air opportunities in my spare time on TV and radio. I went on to anchor the morning show in New York, Bloomberg Surveillance, before moving over to CNBC. But truth be told, I’ve wanted to be on TV ever since I grew up watching Oprah and taped a mock talk show at a local public access channel studio for a school project in high school.

She had also mentioned that her favorite subject is finance and focuses on the currency market and global consumer companies.
