Sydel was born to the famous Dell and Sonya Curry. Her father Dell Curry is a former NBA player for Charlotte Hornet. He played from 1996 to 2002 before retiring. Her mother is Sonya Curry and had worked as a school administrator. During her college days, she had played college volleyball at Virginia Tech in the late 1980s. Sydel has two brothers-Stephen and Seth and both are into basketball and play for the NBA. Stephen plays for Golden State Warriors whereas Seth is with the Dallas Mavericks.

Sydel studied at the Charlotte Christian School in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was the captain of the volleyball team for 3 years. The team at that time reached the state quarterfinals for three seasons. With her presence, the team set a new record of the most wins in a season in the year 2012.

Sydel, 23 was a wonderful volleyball player and a captain. She possibly had some training from her mother who also had an experience of playing the game at the college level. Sydel is a four-time CISAA All-conference selection in the years 2009-2012 and a two-time NCISAA All-State selection for the years 2011 and 2012. Sydel also played club for the Carolina Union and had attended the nationals with this team in 2012.

For her college, Sydel preferred Elon University though she was also getting admission to UNC-Greensboro. Describing her game and herself, Sydel had once said:

“As a volleyball player, I would say I add a sense of calmness to the court but also a sense of competiveness because I love to win. I work hard to be the best I can be and to also allow my teammates to excel as well. Being a setter, there is a huge part of what I do and that’s what I love to do.”

This 5 feet 9-inch volleyball champion was at Elon’s from 2013 to 2016. During her these 4 years, she played college women’s volleyball for the University. She completed her college volleyball career in the 8th position. She had a remarkable college statistics in the game but had to leave the sorts due to a dislocated kneecap.

Lee, 25 is a player on the NBA G League for the Santa Cruz Warriors. The couple has been dating since 2016. Sydel’s sister-in-law, Ayesha Curry also was joyous and had posted a sweet message for the bride-to-be which read:

“Ummmmm my sissy is engaged which means me n @stephencurry30 are officially old. Sorry to say this but I still remember your freshmen year of high school. I can’t believe now you’ll be walking down the aisle and one day starting a fam of your own! My only goal was to create and pave a path that our siblings could look up to.
