Manuela Escobar is the daughter of the Wanted drug dealer and a murderer, Pablo Escobar who was later caught and shot dead by Columbian police. 

Manuela has a brother named Sebastián Marroquín, whose birth name was Juan Pablo Escobar. By profession, he is an author and architect.

Daddy’s Princess

She was born in the year 1984, in Brownsville, Cameron County, Texas. Pablo Escobar treated her daughter Manuela like a princess. She was very pampered by her father and would do anything to make her wish come true. Hence, she was very close to him.

Once when Manuela suffered from hypothermia, they were not able to go to the hospital. So Pablo was so angry that he couldn’t do anything for her and burned $2 million to keep her warm.

He has gone to the extreme to make her wish come true. As she was very fond of unicorns, she wanted a unicorn for her birthday. Pablo arranged for a cone to be stapled on top of the horse and as well as a staple the wings on the horse’s body to make it look like a unicorn. Eventually, the horse was no more during the process.

End of the Fairytale after Pablo Escobar was shot dead

In the year 1993, Pablo was shot dead by the Columbian national police. She was just ten years old when her dad passed. With this news, Manuela’s daddy who can do anything to make her wish come true was also gone forever. After his father’s death, her brother Sebastián and mother, Maria Victoria Henao migrated from country to country and finally decided to settle in Argentina.

To escape from their father’s victims, the family had to change their names as well. Manuela changed her name to Juana Manuela Morroquin Santos.

What is her brother up to?

Pablo’s son Sebastián is a public speaker as well. He is now apologizing to those who were once troubled by his father. In a talk show, Sebastian shared what he revealed what his dad used to hell him when he was young,

“He was my father, but also he was a bandit. And when I was seven years old, he told me, ‘look I am a bandit. That’s what I do for a living.'”

Sebastian also shared a news channel about the type of messages he received,

“I receive tons of messages from youths asking for help to be like my dad. They want to be that criminal, they send me photos dressed up like him, with his mustache, his hairstyle.”
