Ruth Connell is the multi-talented Scottish actress who portrays the role of Rowena in the CW TV series ‘Supernatural’. Ruth Connell has been on this show since 2014 and has given the series some of the most memorable moments. Ruth Conell was born on 20 April 1979 in Falkirk, Scotland. She was raised on her parents’ farm outside Bonnybridge. She is the only child of her parents. Her father is David Connell, football manager, and coach. Her mother is a school teacher named Fiona Connell.
In order to give her cousin company, Ruth was also put into a dancing school. The early age molded her and she began liking dance. She turned out to be a promising student and was soon accepted into the Scottish Ballets Vocational Dance Education Scheme. During her childhood, she did a number of child roles that needed ballet skills such as the character of Clara ‘Nutcracker’.
She won competitions and the title of Scottish Junior Ballet Champion. As she grew she also grabbed the Scottish Senior Ballet championship at the stage festival.
Ruth’s dancing career
Ruth started her career as a professional dancer with companies that included The Curve Foundation and Jazz Art UK. She also started learning acting at Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama in London where she gained a BA (Hons) degree in acting.

Soon after completion of her acting course, Ruth joined the theater and played the lead role of Grusha in ‘The Caucasian Chalk Circle’ in 2004. She toured the UK with Oxford Stage Company in 2005. She had the opportunity to play more female lead roles with various other theater groups. Her acting was honed and in 2009, Ruth got the role of a regular in the series ‘Above their stations’.
Ruth also stepped into production for the theater. She did ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and ‘Hansel and Gretel’. She also produced a short film called ‘Sapphire strange’ and a web series titled ‘John and Jane’.
Ruth Connell moves to the US
In 2011, Ruth migrated to the US. She landed a lead role in ‘Folklore’ and several other feature films. These include ‘The Cursed Man’ and ‘Hara-Kiri’. She did voice acting as well. She portrays Rowena in ‘Supernatural’ since 2014. Her net worth is estimated to be around $ 4 million.
Ruth Connell’s personal life
Ruth has a secretive personal life. She is not married as yet. Hence has no husband, past or present. She has not been sighted with any male at dates in restaurants or other public places. It does not seem that she has any boyfriend. Her past relationships have also not been revealed. She has given no clues of being a lesbian. Hence it looks like she is single.
