English singer Oliver Sykes of the rock band Bring Me the Horizon has been making music since the year 2000. Oliver Sykes is also an entrepreneur and an author having created the graphic novel called Raised by Raptors with Drop Dead Clothing artist Ben Ashton-Bell.
Oliver Sykes birth, age, parents, school, and childhood days
Oliver Sykes was born as Oliver Scott Sykes in Ashford, Kent, England on 20 November 1986. His parents Ian and Carol Sykes moved to Australia when he was an infant. They were in Perth and Adelaide for 6 years. At Sykes’ age of 8, the family returned to the UK. This time they settled in Stocksbridge, Sheffield, South Yorkshire. He has a brother called Tom.
He was a student at Stocksbridge High School. He started making music while still in high school.
Oliver Sykes- early career while at school
Oliver was still in high school when he started making compilation CDs and short tracks under the name Quakebeat. He also played in the mock hip-hop band which was called Womb 2 Da Tomb. The other members of this band were his brother Tom and Matt Nicholls.
He also used to play with the metal band called Purple Curto along with Neil Whiteley. He was the drummer/vocalist on this band and would play under the name Olisaurus. This name he later used for his solo releases. This he continued doing for 4 years until 2004.
Oliver Sykes’s time on the new band Bring Me the Horizon
In the year 2004, Oliver formed a band which he named Bring Me the Horizon and this band gained quick recognition. In 2006, the band released their debut album called Count Your Blessings. They released their second album on 29 September 2009 and named it Suicide Season.
After 2 years on 4 October 2010, they released their third album called There is a Hell. Believe Me, I’ve seen it. There is a Heaven. Let’s Keep it a secret. On 1 April 2013 their fourth studio album Sempiternal was released. On 11 September 2011, they released their fifth album called That’s The Spirit.

Oliver Sykes’s health
Oliver used to have night terrors and sleep paralysis in which he used to get paralyzed when he was asleep. This was in his childhood and when he was 12.
He became a vegan in 2003. Talking about this transformation, he said:
“When I saw how animals are tortured on factory farms, I couldn’t justify being a part of that cruelty.”
He also is a supporter of PETA. He is an atheist by choice.
Oliver Sykes love life, girlfriend, marriages, wife, and divorce
Oliver has been married twice. On 12 July 2015, he married model cum tattoo artist Hannah Pixie Snowdon in Tuscany, Italy but by 2016, the couple had separated. On 22 July 2017, he married Brazilian model Alissa Salls.
