Reporter Allison Williams had mentioned that she is often confused with the actress and in fact, she was once invited to a match and everyone there, including the people who called her thought that she was Brian Williams’ daughter.
They asked her about her father and how he is and it was at that time that reporter Allison Williams realized that there was another Allison Williams with whom they were confusing her.
Allison Williams also mentioned that though she is reporting on sports, it was her second choice. She had loved acting and in fact, was actively participating during her school days in plays and dramas. She said to ESPNfrontrow:
“I actually did act growing up and really loved the stage. I realized by my sophomore year that as much as I loved sports, I wasn’t very good at them, so I did theatre. In high school, I was in several plays and did competitive drama called ‘One Act.’ Seems I was always cast to play old people though. However, no musicals! Unlike TOAW (The Other Allison Williams), I cannot sing. I fear the day one of my karaoke performances makes the web. Lisa Loeb never sounded so bad!”
