Fred Savage is most remembered for his role in The Wonder Years as Kevin. The 42-year-old actor and director are now working on several acting and directing projects, including the Netflix comedy Friends from College. However, he has recently made news due to sexual misconduct charges leveled against him.
He denied verbally harassing female staff members on the set of The Grinder, and 20th Century Fox found no proof of misbehavior as well. The spotlight is now on Savage and his wife. Our Jennifer Lynn Stone page illuminates their touching love story.
They were childhood pals
Fred Savage’s real-life romance is the stuff of romantic comedies that our hopeless romantic sides crave.
Jennifer Lynn Stone, 44, is a Chicago native who grew up in Glencoe alongside the former child star. However, Savage relocated from Chicago to Los Angeles for his acting career, and the two lost contact.
Years later, as a Hollywood celebrity and household name as Kevin Arnold from The Wonder Years, the actor reconnected with his childhood love. They reconnected during Savage’s 22nd birthday party and began dating.
“We started talking and smooching, and we’ve been together ever since,” the actor-director claimed in a People magazine interview.
The Jewish Wedding of Fred Savage and Jennifer Lynn Stone
During a trip to Italy in September 2003, Savage proposed to Stone with a five-carat cushion-cut sapphire surrounded by diamonds. Neil Lane designed the ring in Los Angeles, and it is engraved with “I must have done something nice.” It’s a line from Stone’s favorite film, The Sound of Music.
On August 7, 2007, the pair married at L’Orangerie in Los Angeles. Stone wore a white Monique Lhuillier gown with borrowed Neil Lane jewelry, while Savage wore a black tux. (Nice move!)
Fred Savage was reared as a Reform Jew. And, based on the wedding images, they had a Jewish wedding ceremony.
Stone carried a bouquet of mango-colored calla lilies down the aisle. Her first dance with Savage was to the classic song “Baby I Love You” by Aretha Franklin.
Savage “pledged to always bring up a drink of water to her before we go to bed, and she promised to never let me dress,” according to their peculiar wedding vows. That’s a terrific recipe for a long-lasting marriage!
They have three kids
Savage and Stone (which has a lovely showbiz ring to it) have three children. Oliver Phil Savage, their son, was born on August 5, 2006, and Lily Aerin Savage, their daughter, was born on May 3, 2008.
The family revealed the arrival of their fifth member after keeping Stone’s third pregnancy a secret. Auggie Savage, the couple’s first child, was born on November 26, 2012.
In a Friends from College promotional interview with The Chicago-Sun Times, the 2 Broke Girls directors discussed raising his children as Chicago Cubs fans while growing up in Los Angeles.
“While we’ve lived in Los Angeles for a long time, it’s incredibly important to us to impart in our children a feeling of that Chicago spirit — and we keep it alive in our house all the time,” Savage explained. What an emotional rollercoaster the World Series was last year! While filming Friends From College, we were watching the [Cubs] Series.
“Not only was I from Chicago, but our cinematographer and his wife were from Chicago!” he continued. [Series creator] Nick [Stoller] was extremely patient. We had a dinner table scenario, and everyone was on their phones, under the table — even the performers who had no ties to Chicago! We were concentrating hard on the sequence we were filming while still keeping an eye on the final game. It was quite nerve-racking!”

The Career of Fred Savage’s Wife
Stone was a commercial real estate agent at the time of their wedding. However, it is unknown whether she kept her work.
Her husband is wealthy an estimated $18.0 million, and she is content to support him in numerous ventures.
Jennifer Lynn Stone did not respond publicly to her husband’s sexual misconduct charges. She appears to favor a low profile and is not active on social media.
