Some facts you did not know about Aileen Wuornos
Aileen Wuornos born on February 29, 1956, faced many difficulties since her childhood. She always had a nightmarish childhood which was filled with instability, alleged sexual abuse, and homelessness.
Later on in her life, due to all the childhood struggle she why she turned to prostitution and violence. And in between 1989 and 1990, Wuornos killed seven men. Aileen became the most prolific female serial killer in history and she was sentenced to death in 2002 after the arrest.

Beside her crime, she also has some facts, we did not know about the serial killer. She could never meet his father as he went to jail before her birth. Later on, he killed himself hanging in the jail ceiling in 1969 when she was a teen.

Moreover, she also claimed that her grandfather sexually abused and beat her. Not only that, her grandfather raped her and she gave birth to a child. Later on, she kept the baby for adoption.
Besides her dark side of her life, she also had one great moment in her life. She once shared a romantic relationship with wealthy yacht club owner Lewis Fell. The duo tied the knot in Florida in 1976. Their married life even made a highlight on the society page.

Aileen Wuornos’s husband’s restraining order, the first murder, and death warrant
After the short period, he filed a restraining order against Aileen after she attacked him with his cane. There are many female serial killers who used strangling, poisoning, or other less automatic methods to kill. But, unlike other Aileen used a weapon of choice was a .22 caliber pistol.
At the time when she convicted her first murder, Richard Mallory, she said that he tried to rape her and killed him in self-defense. Afterward, Richard got the punishment of 10 years in prison for the sexual assault.
Later on in 2002, when three different psychiatrists found her mentally competent, then Florida Governor Jeb Bush lifted a temporary stay of execution and signed her death warrant.

She wrote before her death,
“I killed those men. robbed them as cold as ice. And I’d do it again, too. There’s no chance in keeping me alive or anything because I’d kill again. I have hate crawling through my system…I am so sick of hearing this ‘she’s crazy’ stuff. I’ve been evaluated so many times. I’m competent, sane, and I’m trying to tell the truth. I’m one who seriously hates human life and would kill again.”
