Nadine Caridi who is also known as the Duchess of Bay Ridge is the young ex-wife of Jordan Belfort. Her life story was the storyline for Martin Scorsese’s film ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ (2013). Her character was played by Australian actress Margot Robbie. The film was written by Terence Winter.

It deals with the life of stockbroker Jordan Belfort and his downfall due to fraud and rampant corruption.

Nadine Caridi was born in London, England, the UK. But she was raised in Bay Ridge, New York. She graduated from John Dewey High School. She then took to modeling as a career.

Nadine was a famous model in the 1990s. She worked for Miller Lite. Later on in her life, she did a Masters in Clinical Psychology from the Pacifica Graduate Institute and earned her Ph.D. in 2015.

Marriage to Jordan Belfort and daughter

Nadine was introduced to Jordan by her then-boyfriend Alan Wilzig. Alan was a former professional race car driver and former President of the Trust Company of New Jersey and he and Nadine had been living in for two years in 1989 and 1990.

Nadine Caridi was in her twenties at that time. Nadine and Jordan met at Jordan’s 4th of July pool party in the Hamptons.

When Nadine and Jordan began their affair, Jordan was already married to Denise Lombardo. Jordan applied for divorce with Denise and after it was finalized, Nadine and Jordan got married in 1991 in the Caribbean.

The couple had two children together; daughter Chandler and son Carter. He even named his yacht after his wife The Nadine.

But the happiness was short-lived. Soon Jordan was dragged into a world of darkness. He started frauds in his business, took to substance abuse, and also got involved with multiple women.

He even resorted to domestic violence and kicked his wife Nadine. He crashed his car with his daughter in the passenger seat into a pillar at his Long Island Home.

Nadine checked Jordan into a rehab center and later took a divorce from Jordan. The divorce was completed in 2005. They remained good with each other for their children.

For defrauding his investors, he had to face the consequences. In 1999, Jordan pleaded guilty to securities fraud and money laundering. In 2003, he was sentenced to four years of prison term. He served for 22 months. He turned a motivational speaker now.

Nadine studied further after her divorce with Jordan Belfort. She reinvented herself, completed her Masters and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. She married John Macaluso, CEO of Wizard World and a former New York entrepreneur. The wedding took place in Manhattan Beach. She is 22 years younger to her current husband.

John has three daughters with his previous wife. The daughters are called Frankie, Nicky, and Allie.
