A glance at his bio reveals that Gabriel Iglesias was born as Gabriel Jesus Iglesias on 15 June 1976 in San Diego, CA. He is now 41 years of age. His parents are Esther P. Mendez and Jesus Iglesias. He was the youngest of 6 children of his parents. The family was a single parent family and he was raised by his mother. He was residing in many places before finally settling in Section 6, low-income housing in Long Beach. It was here that he spent most of his youth.

Gabriel was working for a cell company in LA and was doing comedy on the side. It was in 1997 that he decided to take it up as his main career. But this did not come easy for young Gabriel. Due to this, he was evicted from his home and also lost his car due to financial difficulties. He used his obesity to his advantage in his comedy. He used to call himself fluffy and state that he is not fat.
In 2000, Gabriel got a role in season 6 of the Nickelodeon sketch comedy series called Al That. In the year 2007, Gabriel had given the voice of the entire Mexican family in Padre de Familia. Seeing his talent, he got many more such voice acting roles which he completed successfully. His favorite voice work, he said, was in The Emperor’s New School where he voiced the identical twin characters.
In 2006, Gabriel also participated in the fourth season of the reality TV show called Last Comic Standing. He was one of the final 8 comics on the show. His acts were liked by the judges but he faced elimination due to using a smuggled Blackberry to talk to his friends and family. This was a violation of the rules of the show and he could not continue further due to it.

He was the host as well as the producer of this show. In 2012, he also hosted 6 episodes of Equals Three and also played a role in the film called Magic Mike. In this movie, he was the strip club DJ and drug dealer.
He is on the Fuse TV and appears in Fluffy Breaks Even. Gabriel has won several awards in his career for his excellent timing sense and comedy.
