She used to play for the Los Angeles Lady Mamba girls basketball team. One day, she dreamed to play for UConn Huskies Women’s basketball team. Her dream was to be a basketball player like her father. She always liked to follow her father’s footsteps. In Bryant games, she was often spotted with her older sister, Natalia. Often, Kobe used to share her video of playing basketball. Her video became viral in 2019 when she was showing her moves learned with her father. His father shared a video just 6 days earlier that Gigi getting better every day.

The Helicopter Crash, Tragic Death

Nine people lost their lives in a Helicopter Crash including one pilot and eight passengers. In the helicopter crash, Gigi took her last breath with her father on the 26th of January 2020. In the chopper, they were traveling to Mamba Academy for basketball for their practice.

The accident occurred in Calabasas, California, at about 9:47 a.m. where the helicopter struggled before crashing in the mountains above Calabasas in the heavy fog. As the New York Times reported, the young players were going to take part in a tournament and Kobe was going to coach on Sunday’s game.
