Giselle Fernandez is an American TV journalist. She is the host of several programs such as NBC Today, CBS Evening News, CBS Early Show, and also Access Hollywood.

Giselle was born in Mexico in Mexico City and is of Mexican descent. Her date of birth is 15 May 1961 and is aged 57. At the age of 4, her family migrated to the Eastern part of Los Angeles and she was raised there. Her father was a flamenco dancer and was a Catholic. Her mother is Jewish and was a student of Mexican folklore. There is no information on her siblings.
She was a student at California State University and this is situated in Sacramento. She earned her BA in Journalism and Government in 1982.

Giselle’s TV career started in 1983 after she finished her graduation. She was first with KRDO-TV in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She then joined the KEYT-TV located in Santa Barbara, CA. In the year 1985, Giselle joined KTLA which is in LA as a reporter and weekend anchor. After serving this network for 2 years, Giselle then moved to WBBM-TV which is CBS affiliated and based in Chicago. In 1989, she worked for WCIX’S Miami station. She had once said:
“I’m a storyteller.”
In 1991, she joined CBS News and migrated to New York where she served as an anchor and reporter. She then joined NBC and anchored Today Show on weekends. She also used to anchor the NBC Nightly News. She covered the Cuban immigration crisis, Haiti unrest phase, the US invasion of Panama in 1989, the 1993 WTC bombing conspirators and their trial, and also Persian Gulf War. She has also had the opportunity to interview Fidel Castro who was the then-President of Cuba.

For three years from 1996 to 1999, Giselle worked as a co-host for Access Hollywood. She also had hosted This Week in History on the History Channel. In 2001, she returned to LA and rejoined KTLA. She departed from the channel in 2003 and went to pursue some special projects such as writing children’s books and making a movie. She started her own production company called Skinny Hippo Productions. She also is co-President of F Squared Productions and develops film and TV projects.
She has 5 Emmy awards to her name. She has earned several other accolades and titles and is involved with philanthropic work. Her net worth is assessed to be $ 1 million.

Giselle Fernandez and her love and married life
When Giselle was in Chicago, she began dating and got engaged to Ron Kershaw who later died of pancreatic and liver cancer. She then met and began dating a British executive named John Farrand. John was a former CEO of Panavision Inc. The couple has a daughter named Talei who is 11 years old now. But they separated in April 2014.
