Her parents, Sharon and Clarence Edwards divorced when she was just two years of age. Her mother relocated to Timmins, Ontario with little Shania and her two sisters, Jill and Carrie Ann. Sharon remarried Jerry Twain who adopted her three daughters. Sharon and Jerry had a son named Mark. Shania had a mixed ethnicity.
The family’s financial condition was poor. Shania had faced food scarcity and hardships in her second home. There was also domestic violence she witnessed between her mother and stepfather. She formed a new band with rock keyboardist Eric Lambier and drummer Randy Yurko. Her first break came in 1987 when she performed National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation, now Indspire, at the Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto.
She was signed by Mercury Nashville Records. This is the time that she took the name of Shania. Her self-titled album was released in 1993 and got a lot of audiences. Shania’s Love Life, Relationship and Personal Life
Shania was secretly dating music conductor John Kim Bell but they possibly broke up. She met Robert John ‘Mutt’ Lange in 1993 and became close to him. They got married on 28 December 1993. The couple had a son named Eja who was born in August 2001.
Lange cheated on Shania and started dating her best friend, Marie-Anne Thiebaud. They took divorce which was finalized on 9 June 2010. She then got married to Marie-Anne’s Swiss ex-husband Frederic Thiebaud on 1 January 2011 in Rincon, Puerto Rico. They are living a happy married life.
