Yandy Smith’s Relationship history
Yandy Smith has been dating Mendeecees since 2007. She was working as a tour manager for singers such as Missy Elliot and Jim Jones. This meant that she was away for a long time.
Recalling those days, Yandy Smith said in 2015:
“When we met eight years ago, I was all about my career. There have been so many breakups to makeups. We would see each other while I was home, but I was on tour a lot and would be gone for months at a time and barely call. We were broken up for over a year when I went on tour with Missy for six months. I came back and he was dating someone. I started dating someone. We bumped into each other and it was like love at the first sign again. He was like, ‘I’m not letting you get away from me this time.’ We both ended our other involvements and it’s been nonstop since that moment. We took our time, got to know each other, and became great friends. He’s been here for the most part, until his situation.”
They had son Omere in 2013. Their marriage was aired on the VH1 show ‘Love & Hip Hop: New York’ and was said to have taken place on 25 May 2015. Yandy had another child; a daughter named Skylar in 2015. She did not have any known relationships in the past. But Mendeceecees had a relationship with Samantha before and has a son named Lil Mendeceeces with her. He also had a short romantic fling with Erika and has another child named Aasim with her.
Mendeecees has been arrested on charges of dealing with drug trafficking and sentenced in December 2015 to 8 years of imprisonment. He had tried to get this sentence reduced to 5 years but the Judge who retrialed his case refused to do so. Yandy had later disclosed that she and Mendeecees were not married.
Yandy’s relations with her mother-in-law Judy are not good. Judy had tried to create trouble for Yandy in her business and Yandy in retaliation had gone on to reveal and catch Judy red-handed when she was cheating on her husband of 18 years called Roberto.
She also revealed that she will be fostering a baby girl named Infinity and the process would soon be completed.
Yandy Smith’s Profession and Career
Yandy Smith used to work as an executive assistant at Violator Management and also was a manager for rappers and singers. She used to arrange for their tours and manage all aspects of it. Yandy later started work as a reality TV personality with her lover Mendeecees on VH1 show ‘LHHNY’.
The couple was liked by the viewers. After Mendeecees was incarcerated, Yandy went back to work in the business sector. She is part owner, President, and brand manager of ‘Everything Girls Love’.
Yandy Smith also has her beauty line called Yelle and she has added skincare products to it in December 2017. These cater to melanin-rich skins. There will be more products launched in January 2018.
