The origin of his names
He was queried about his multiple names and origin of it. Yellowpaco had replied to this on his Tumblr. He said:
“There is a long story about my multiple names haha.
I am born into this world as William Taylor Pacarro. Let me just say this, DON’T EVER CALL ME WILLIAM. i will ignore you. it sounds like a white person’s name and i’m not white.
My dad is named William, but everyone calls him Billy, so my parents called me by my middle name since birth, Taylor. I was known as Taylor until I graduated.
After I graduated, in college when people asked me for my name, I just responded Will. I felt like it was time to change from who I was in high school. And Will just sounds so mysterious, sexy, and strong, hence: will-power. So if you met me after I graduated, I probably have introduced myself as Will.”
Talking about his other name, Kim Jong Will, Yellowpaco replied:
“This is my emcee name. I feel like I can shoot bombs and missiles into people’s brains and hearts to make them think about my music. My words are much deeper than surface level.”
Yellowpaco is also called as Yabei yell-O by his friends. Paco revealed that it was his boy name. Explaining on it, Yellowpaco said:
“yabei is slang in Japanese for yabai which means dangerous. yabei means dope and was given to me by my former Japanese bboy crewmates: Kentaro and Wata. yell-O has a deeper meaning. My style of dance is not what most would consider traditional to the bboy style. I try to stay away from the norm and do my own thing. So the reason the O is capitalized instead of the y is because I’m flipping things and I feel people should yell “OH!” or give props to the dreamers and pioneers of people who try new things. Hence: yabei yell-O, it’s dope to try new things.”
