He was also cast in Batman, The Virginian, and in Owen Marshall: Counselor at Law. He also played small roles in several films and 1967 was cast in The Cape Town Affair. He was later fired by 20th Century Fox.
In the 1970s, he started getting main roles in films such as Skyjacked in 1972, Westworld in 1973, and also appeared in 1976’s Gable and Lombard, 1977’s The Car, 1978’s Capricorn One, and 1979’s The Amityville Horror. He also starred in Night of the Juggler and High Risk.

James Brolin was born as Craig Kenneth Bruderlin on 18 July 1940 in Westwood, Los Angeles, CA, the USA. His parents were Helen Sue and Henry Hurst Bruderlin. His father was a housing contractor while his mother was a housewife. He is the eldest of two brothers and two sisters.
His interest in childhood centered around airplanes and animals. He did like films but never thought that he would become an actor.
As time went by, he started getting some interest in this line and had already commenced shooting 8 mm films. He later joined the University High School from which he graduated in 1958. He started liking to act but was shy.
He gradually overcame it and with his parental support jumped into this field with renewed interest. He studied at Santa Monica City College and attended the University of California, LA to study drama.
