Jamie Erdahl’s age, childhood, and education
Jamie Erdahl was born on 3 December 1988 in Minnesota and raised in Bloomington. Her mother Chris is a baseball nut and Jamie had given her mom tickets to watch the All-Star Game in Minneapolis on July 15. Her father Jim is more of a basketball fan. Talking lovingly about them, Jamie Erdahl had once said:
“They definitely put me on sports and just let me go,”
Jamie attended and graduated from Breck School in 2007. Jamie had grown up playing basketball and softball. With a height of 5 feet 7 inches, she served as a point guard for Division 3 at the St. Olaf College in Minnesota. She then switched to the American University since she wanted to pursue broadcasting. She graduated in December 2011.

Jamie was already broadcasting while in high school. She used to intern for the afternoon drive show on KFAN radio in Minneapolis. After her graduation, Jamie’s career began when she replaced Naoko Funayama and became the rinkside reporter for Bruins. She had also worked as the field reporter for Red Sox and also as a studio anchor. Talking about her journey, Jamie Erdahl had once said:

Jamie Erdahl had interviewed a high school basketball player for a cable TV in Minnesota. After the completion of the interview, the player’s stepfather told everyone that he was impressed by Jamie’ interview style. He was actually Jim Petersen, the television analyst for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
He gave her his card and told her to go and meet his senior at Fox Sports North, Joseph Marr. Marr hired her as a sideline reporter for FSN’s coverage of the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx and to fill on Twins pregame shows.
Erdahl’s first reporting after joining was in November 2012 and on a Pop Warner championship game at Foley Stadium in Worcester.
