Jemele Hill is the sports journalist from the USA who is working for ESPN’s The Undefeated. She used to write for ESPN before and has in the past hosted ESPN’s show called His and hers. Since February 2017 she co-hosts Sportscenter and in February 2018 was transferred to The Undefeated.
Jemele Hill and her life before fame
Jemele Hill was born in 1975 on 21 December and this was in Detroit, Michigan. She is now 42 years of age. She was born to Denise Dennard and Jerel Brickerson. At the age of 5, she moved with her mother to Houston. But returned to Detroit soon after. Her father was a drug addict but later became sober. She has an American nationality and African-American ethnicity.
She was a student at Mumford High School which she completed and left in 1993. Later she joined the Michigan State University and completed her graduation in 1997 with a major in journalism and a minor in Spanish. Talking about her childhood, Jemele writes on her website:

Jemele Hill and her career
In May 1997, Jemele started work with Raleigh News and Observer and was with them for 1.5 years. She then got hired in the position of a sports writer by Detroit Free Press and here she used to report on Michigan State Football and basketball. She also had the chance to go and visit the 2004 Summer Olympics and also the NBA playoffs and cover these events.
She then became the national columnist for ESPN in 2006 and would appear on a number of their TV shows. In 2011, she co-hosted the podcast His and Hers. It was a success and she got a promotion and more shows. She then began to co-anchor Sportscenter and this was also praised.

Jemele Hill and her controversies
Jemele is an efficient worker but she is quite vocal in her views and is anti-Trump. One of her article in 2007 drew a lot of flak both for her and ESPN. She received a suspension for it and later apologized and was taken back. In September 2017, she called Trump a white supremacist and this was heavily criticized. She labeled him as an offensive President and a bigot. ESPN distanced itself from her comments. Her net worth is $ 4 million.
