The Philadelphia 76ers selected Stackhouse as the third overall choice in the first round of the 1995 NBA Draft.
Jerry, who led the 76ers in scoring during his first season with 19.2 points per game, was chosen for the NBA’s All-Rookie team (PPG).
Midway through the 1997–98 season, the athletes were traded to the Detroit Pistons with Eric Montross for Theo Ratliff, Aaron McKie, and future considerations.
