Julie was born as Julie E. Bidwell on 25 September 1973. She is 44 now and her birthplace was Hartford in Connecticut. Her parents are Howard D. Bidwell and Fabiola R. Her mother was from Colombia. She has one sister called Melissa. Julie is an alum of Emerson College and holds a bachelor’s degree from it.

Julie and her career in broadcasting

Julie was with WLVI-TV in Boston, Massachusetts initially before she joined WHSV-TV in Virginia as a local news anchorwoman. She also has worked with WBRE-TV, WFSB-TV, and with WNYW in New York City.

In March 2005, she joined Fox News channel in the capacity of a general assignment reporter. She was good at her work but in June 2006, she landed into some problems when she clashed with Shirley Phelps-Roper on-air and this grabbed international attention. Julie had later made a statement and said:

“These people should be arrested, and I understand the right to protest, but when you disgrace not only our fallen soldiers, but when you disgrace innocent young children, I swear. Lock ‘em up. Throw away the key. Give ‘em the death penalty.”

Julie became the anchor for Fox News Weekend and replaced Laurie Dhue for it. In 2010, she was on maternity leave and Harris Faulkner was as her substitute. She came back and rejoined as a general news correspondent on the Fox News Channel. She is also now anchoring the program called America’s News Headquarters. She has a net worth of around $ 12 million.

Julie is a married woman. Her husband is Andrew J. Sansone who is a member of the board of directors of Habitat for Humanity and is also the founding President of the Old Rock media and Big Apple Channel. The couple was dating and Andrew proposed to her by means of a note put inside a bottle when they were clam digging on Long Island Sound. On 21 September 2008, she announced about her engagement on-air and the pair tied the knot on 29 August 2009 at the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church.

Her first child a daughter named Addison Melissa was born on 21 April 2010. The couple’s second child was daughter Avery Julie who was born in 2012 on 13 November. They reside in New York City.
