Kaja Sokola says her dreams and self-esteem goes away after Weinstein sexually assaulting her at the age of 16!

Kaja Sokola stated that being sexually assaulted at an early age ripped up her dreams and dignity. She said that the incident broke her into pieces when she was just 16.

Kaja Sokola attended the premiere of “She Said” at the New York Film Festival. There she talked about her mental health when she was just 16 years old. Similarly, she is the youngest victim of sexual assault by the movie’s producer, Harvey Weinstein. He not only destroyed her career but also her mental health.

Harvey and Kaja first met each other in the year 2002 at an event related to modeling. According to Sokola, we can know that she was interested in modeling and acting as well. She was fond of going into the entertainment industry.

Then after a few days, the monster aka Weinstein called her for a lunch and she agreed as well. Cause she never thought he would turn like this at the end. Then, Kaja went for lunch but Harvey took her to the apartment where he sexually assaulted her.

Furthermore, she fought back and tried so hard to leave by screaming and doing whatever she could. But, he blocked the door so she couldn’t escape away. Then, Kaja also said that Harvey Weinstein yelled at her saying she need to calm down when she was trying to escape. Sokola stated,

“It’s been very tough for a long time. When you are a kid you don’t know any better, at least me, I was full of trust. I was in my home full of love and security and then I ended up here being completely alone, it’s not time to talk but the fashion industry is not the best.”

She also added,

“So, yes, it definitely harmed me in many ways and I’m not talking just about sexual abuse, I’m talking about ripping up my dreams, my dignity, my self.”

At first, Sokola was fond of acting and modeling but after the incident, she chose not to get involved in this industry. So, she decided to choose a different path and became a psychologist. Similarly, she is currently working on a book of her own. And, she also said,

“I know that so many choices I made later in my life, relationships that I was continuing, were based on the trauma, co-dependency, and emotional abuse.”

Not only Kaja but another woman also came forward at the premiere on the red carpet. The woman was a model, Ambra Battilana Gutierrez and she also went to the police for filing a complaint. Weinstein sexually assaulted her too in the year 2015 while they were reviewing her portfolio.

Young girls who are in their teenage don’t have sense regarding this matter. Meanwhile, they also feel helpless at the time and don’t have the guts to share with anyone.

The same happened with Ambra at the time as she couldn’t share her trauma with anyone including her parents. Although, she has filed a report and she kind of felt like she is doing the right thing. According to Amnbra, she stated  the incident where the police replied, “Again?”

Well, the model further thought,

“So I just felt inside like a very bad anger … like I’m going to do whatever I can do to stop this person because this was absolutely wrong what he did.”

Moreover, Harvey Weinstein stayed in a prison for 23 years for rape and sexual abuse. However, the pain still doesn’t go away from the victims. Facing such a thing at a young age is not a small thing to carry.

Apart from this, “She Said” is written by two journalists and it is about the sexual abuse allegations against Harvey. It will release in theaters on November 18.
